The Curation
The design leaned into color, texture, and contrast while maintaining balance and cohesion. Layered planting and carefully chosen containers allowed the balcony to feel lush without becoming overwhelming.

Westchester terrace, layered for privacy
A full-service garden installation designed for year-round structure and seclusion.
This Westchester condo homeowner had a generous terrace but little privacy. The goal was to create a space that felt enclosed and calm, with planting that would hold its shape and interest beyond a single season.
The Curation
The design focused on layered planting to soften sightlines and create separation without closing the space in. Taller elements were balanced with mid-height structure and lower plantings to keep the terrace feeling open, while still offering privacy where it mattered most.
Evergreen structure formed the backbone of the plan, with seasonal variation layered in for subtle shifts throughout the year.
The Reveal
The terrace now feels intentional and settled. Private enough to unwind, yet open enough to enjoy the light and views. Plantings provide structure through every season, so the space never feels bare or transitional.
